Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB)

The Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB), headed by the Honorable Chief Minister, will serve as the Apex Authority for infrastructure development in the state. While GIDB has the authority to delegate certain powers and functions to its Executive Committee, which is led by the Honorable Minister of State for Industries (MOS), the core functions of the Apex Authority, such as the approval and modification of development plans, town planning schemes, and general development regulations, will remain directly under its jurisdiction and cannot be delegated to any committees. This structure ensures that key decisions regarding development in Gujarat are made at the highest level, maintaining oversight and strategic direction.
